We have been awarded authorized dealer and installer status with several companies, and can purchase any other brands on request, so we are not interested in hyping the virtues or exaggerating the flaws of any particular brand. We have developed professional opinions about products available to us and you. Nothing more.
That said, and assuming since you have read this far you appreciate the need for this preamble, Solar Plus is not unlike other solar companies in being able to offer the prevailing price per watt or therm of energy.
For solar panels, we prefer SunPower, Sharp, Schott, and Solon because they are at least partially American made, if not completely, they are also well made, perform well, and represent a good range of price points for products that have proven themselves in this region of the world. We also like them because their manufacturers are easier to deal with in terms of service and product availability, they contribute to the health of local economies, and their proximity helps keep the carbon footprint of buying solar to a minimum.

For inverters, we prefer Fronius and SMA, Austrian and German respectively, because they have a great track record, give great performance, are great values, have great warranties, and work well with, and in some cases are specifically designed for, the panels we use. They also have manufacturing facilities and a significant administrative presence in the states.
For solar thermal we favor Amerinan-made and long-term manufactuer of Radco glazed panels over polymer mats, and H2OTSUN’s mats over others, and we rely on American made products in regards to our other water related products, too, including Spectralight’s excellent line of high-efficiency Ecopumps and ultraviolet water sanitizers.
As for racking, we often fabricate our own since we take building code requirements as merely suggestions for bare minimum strength and performance specifics allowed, and keep our standards much higher than code suggests.
The newest additions to the menu of products are the ChargePoint electric vehicle charger that we look forward to installing in a carport near you, if not your own, and the high-efficiency pool pumps that save up to 90% of the electricity normally used in pool systems, and ultraviolet light sanitizing systems, all American made.
